Important Notice: Campground Closure Due to Hurricane Helene
All,
Due to Storm Hurricane Helene damage, we must prioritize the safety and well-being of our guests, staff, and community. As such, Beech Mountain Parks & Recreation is temporarily closing Shane Park until further notice.
Closure Details
- Expected Duration: The closure will remain in effect until further notice. We currently do not have an ETA on restoring Shane Park.
- Reopening Information: Please stay tuned for announcements regarding the reopening date once assessments of safety and any necessary repairs are made.
Visitor Information
- Reservations: We will not be making any reservations at this time.
- Ropes Course: Damaged from Hurricane Helene. Shane Park is closed to the public.
- Canoe & Kayak Rental: Our boats were lost in the storm. Rentals are closed until further notice.
- Safety Precautions: Shane Park is closed and is currently being utilized as gravel storage for our Public Works Department. Please do not go into Shane Park.
